M 6/9/08 3 miles 34 minutes
6:00 am 48 degrees and overcast

So now I have run twice in one week. I forced myself to try George's walk /run strategy every half mile. I was faster than Monday but I think I would have been faster anyway. More research is necessary.

No races within a 2-hours drive on July 19th. Maybe we will have to organize our own. I am considering running in the Seattle half marathon in November to give me something to focus on.

M 6/9/08 3 miles 36 minutes
6:00 pm 46 degrees and rainy

George said I didn't need to go running tonight because it is raining but he also suggested that we start running together on the week-end long runs. He just ran the half-marathon yesterday. For me to work up to anything that he might consider a long run, I needed to start tonight. 3 miles is about my limit. George also reminded me that with this latest race under his belt so to speak, he has run in twice as many half marathons as I have. Hmmm.

I have 5 weeks to turn back into a runner and find a race. I am hoping that the race I find is a nice little 10k. I have told myself that if I do this, then I can join the Y at the end of daylight-saving-time to keep up my training during the dark times.

Well tomorrow might be 17 days in coming but it eventually does come.
T 5/27/08 3 miles 37 minutes
7:10 pm 55 degrees

This run was for the chicken man. He said that I should set my sights on a reasonable goal of going running twice this week. If I went tonight then I was half-way to achieving my goal. I was going to only run two miles but as per usual it took that first mile to get my stride. I employed the run-walk so as to not over do it on my first day out.

Okay, I think I need to start running again. I shall start tomorrow.

T 10/16/07 4 miles 42 minutes
6:10 pm 44 degrees

so I haven't run in three weeks. I was loving running in the morning. And then it started getting dark and never getting light. Now it is dark at night too. Okay, well it was always dark at night but night used to come much later in the day.

I am blogging from the comfort of our new mission style leather recliner.

There is a 10K that I was thinking of running in. I was in shape. I was looking good and could have actually run almost fast. The race is Saturday and I ran for the first time in 3 weeks. I could maybe still do it. Unless I am on a work trip.
