Th 3/8/07 5 miles 54. minutes
4:45 45 degrees overcast

So I compiled all my race stats from every race I have ever run. I am bit distressed to know that my fastest race pace was in my first race - the 2001 Tea Party 5K. I didn't even know how to run and yet I ran the fastest. Maybe that was the key - living in ignorance of the pain. So I have a 5K coming up on Saturday. Do you think I can run faster than 31:31, a 10:10 pace? I tried to do that today and failed miserably. but of course I screwed up my watch so maybe I came close. I had one mile under 10 minutes I ran a 9:52 running down hill. I don't think this race takes place on a downhill, but if it does I am all set.

Tuesday 3/6/07 4 miles 44 minutes
3:30 53 degrees clouds moving in

My name is...and I am not a run-aholic. It has been two weeks since my last run.

I have a race on Saturday so I went running yesterday just to see if I could remain vertical for the entire 5K distance. I think I will be fine. I was hoping to actually try for a target time but that idea is no longer appealing to me. Well, I will still try for a time, it just won't be as fast as I was originally thinking. I was hoping for some 10 minute miles, now I am just hoping for sub 11 minutes for the entire run. I am also hoping not to get sick again. I feel like I am starting over from scratch after this two week hiatus.
